Cardio Pilates is an energetic full-body workout concept developed by Marina, the founder of The Bodyworkers. Marina has been teaching and practicing Pilates for over 10 years. Creative by nature and passionate about fitness, Marina has built up a concept combining the Pilates method, based on strength, mobility and balance with other sports disciplines such as kickboxing, deepWORK®, HIIT, athletics and yoga. No two workouts are the same! The classes couple strength training exercises and aerobic exercises as a means to reving up your cardiovascular system and improving your blood flow. As a result, you’ll feel amazing from head to toe.
...and the cherry on the cake: THE PLANK TIME!
This is Cardio Pilates’ crowning achievement - we do plank at the end of all classes, without exception. We hold the pose for 2 minutes, 3 times in a row. Yes, we plank for 6 minutes. There’s never a truer adage that practice makes perfect. The plank time is your chance to push beyond your limits. One of the most effective bodyweight exercises, plank is great for our physical and mental health: it strengthens our core, it gives us a better posture and it boosts our mood while relieving stress.
If you regularly participate in Cardio Pilates, you will be able to take your plank to the next level. In each class, you’ll be able to hold the pose longer until you reach the end of the first 2 minute-block without doing any modification. You will be super proud of yourself and Marina looks forward to celebrating your success with you! Until then, practice, practice, practice and we guarantee you that you'll end up loving Plank Time.

- Water (no glass bottles!)
- Towel
- This workout takes places barefoot
Suitable for:
For all those who love intensity training! No previous experience is required. It is not recommended to do Cardio Pilates while injured as it’s a high-impact workout. Not suitable while pregnant.
Intensity:
The class is very intense, but most of the exercises can be adapted to your fitness level. We are happy to give you alternative exercises at any time, if needed. Let your trainer know in advance if you have special needs, restrictions or injuries.
