Spring Bootcamp

an outdoor bootcamp that will get you fit in 10 weeks!

The original purpose of our boot camp was to prepare us for the team run at the SPARTAN OBSTACLE RACE. Of course, everyone is welcome to join the boot camp to simply get fit and run without taking part in one of the Spartan Races.

We use the 10 bootcamp sessions to get fit in a variety of ways. We run, climb (up the mountain), climb, shimmy, jump (into the water), balance, carry, and much more... Burpees, burpees, burpees. We surely do a few of those too. We've found just the right training spots for you.

The 10 dates will take place every Saturday at 10 a.m. from February 3rd at various locations.

You can take part in the bootcamp with your regular class pass cards and subscriptions. Unfortunately, it is not possible to take part with Urban Sports Club, but it is definitely worth buying a class pass card for the bootcamp.

* Please bring as few things as possible with you to the Olympic Park as we move around in the park. Your coach has a bag for bottles / valuables with him.

Are you also taking part in the Spartan Obstacle Race?

The Spartan Obstacle Races will take place on 12 & 13.04.2024 at Olympic Park Munich.

There will be a Night Sprint on 12.04.2024 and the Sprint and Super on 13.04.2024. The Sprint will cover a distance of approx. 5-6 km with approx. 20 obstacles. The Super is a little more challenging with a longer distance of approx. 10-12 km and approx. 25 obstacles.

THE RULES

In a Spartan Race you run for time, referees evaluate the races, the results are included in rankings, and the best athletes qualify for the European and World Championships. Each obstacle is compulsory and failure is penalized with 30 burpees. Wearing the timing chip is mandatory and your race number must be visible at all times.

You must be 16 years old on race day to take part in a sprint. You will receive a headband with your race number and a timing chip after your check-in and you must wear both. Visibly wearing your race number increases your chances of being recognized in photos that will always remind you of your Spartan Race... It is not allowed to give your race number to another starter.

Spartans do not cheat! Every Spartan has to accept these rules!

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

  • A valid photo ID
  • Your confirmation email with the barcode
  • A towel and extra dry clothes (we will keep them for you)

Arrive approx. 1.5 hours before your start time. This gives you enough time to park, drop off your things at the Spartan Bag Drop, and warm up with us.

We recommend cross or running shoes or other sports shoes. In any case, we strongly advise against running barefoot due to the terrain and obstacles. There are hydration stations, but you can also bring your own hydration pack, camelbacks are allowed on the race. You should also bring a towel and bags for your dirty clothes after the race.

After the race you can shower off in the outdoor showers and remove the worst of the dirt...there is also a changing room available.
